SRNA Annual Meeting Minutes

Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026

Location: 1817 Truman St NE, driveway

Time: 10:15am-11:30am

Attendees: Tim, Johnny, Ron, Julie, Eric, Brandi/Rex, Will, Erin, Greg, Steven, Maurria, Mark, Susan, Sequoia

1. Welcome

The meeting was called to order at 10:15 by Ron Gray and attendees were welcomed. Ron reviewed the agenda.

2. Elections and Board Roles

Votes have been cast and results confirmed:

●      President: Ron Gray

●      Vice President: Johnny Trust

●      Treasurer: Eric Trust

●      Secretary: Maurriah Whipple Trujillo

●      Member-at-Large: Robert L.

Committees created and chairs assigned.

●      Membership committee: Erin

●      Volunteer Coordination committee: Steven T

3. Financial Update

See attached financial ledger. We currently have $819.19 in our account.

Discussion:

●      Need to define process for reimbursement when neighbors purchase things for neighborhood events. Board of Directors will draft a policy.

●      The treasurer is still working on a manner to collect money electronically from neighbors. Stay tuned for instructions.

●      What is money being used for?

●      The decision is to purchase some swag for “welcome bags” for new neighbors, to be organized by the Membership Committee.

●      Attendees  also decided to purchase 1 or 2 dog stations for treats and bags, Board of Directors to organize this.

●      $500 each year will be used for the block party.

●      Plan to remove Ed Dunn on Nusenda Account and adding Maurria Whipple to Nusenda SRNA Bank account

4. Priorities for the Year

●      Drinks in the Driveway to continue quarterly

●      Porch Patrol Campaign going well - more events to come. Signs available for purchase $20, as a donation to the SRNA.

●      June 20: Neighborhood Garage Sale: June 20

●      July: Volunteer event (TBD)

●      August: Family/Kid night

●      September: Summer Block Party - use $500 to purchase food, and have neighbors provide drinks/sides/donations.

●      Spring 2027: Home and Garden tour: get committee together to organize for next May (evening time event)

●      Reboot neighborhood walks: can use as clean up/pass out fliers - theme nights. Need leader for these.

●      Neighborhood signs: Board of Directors working on Aframe signs for better neighborhood communication

●      Neighborhood communication: Social media, website updates, pass out fliers to mailboxes, reddit, discord.

●      Neighborhood directory of services and needs (weed pulling, groceries, babysitting, etc). Need someone to champion this.

●      Other event ideas:

○      Family and Kid night

○      Make your own neighborhood swag night

4. Updates/News

●      Provided update on Indian School road diet project.

●      Dylan Fox is attending the D7 meetings as SRNA representative. These are open to anyone in our neighborhood.

5. Bernalillo County Grant Proposal

Discussion about whether SRNA should apply for grant funding from BernCo for neighborhood community events. Brandi and Maurria will work on an application to request funds to help support the home tour and block party, which meet grant requirements.
